On the banks of the Rhône, with the rivers of la Cèze and laTave flowing through it, Laudun clings to the sides of a hill, commanding superb views over the valley. Famed for its AOC wines, Laudun is, in addition to being a typical village of winegrowers, also harbours many architectural riches: the aqueduct of Balouvière, the 18 hectares of Caesar's Camp (the remains of a Roman village which was inhabited for over a thousand years), the Gothic church of Notre-Dame la Neuve, built over the remains of the Romanesque church of Saint-Geniès. Nature lovers will enjoy walks on the area's numerous paths and trails.
