A few kilometres from Avignon, but away from the main roads, Pujaut is a typically southern village with a superb quality of life. The main square, shaded by plane trees and the centre of the village life, where pétanque players congregate, with bustling café terraces, regular boot fairs… This is le Midi as it should be!
Walkers will enjoy a stroll up to the Pujaut plateau, just above the village, from where you can enjoy superb views over the plain. This plain used to be under water until it was drained during the 17th century, when all the fishermen turned to agriculture.
